Caminos, in collaboration with the community, put up a mural sharing messaging around COVID-19 prevention. Caminos led discussions with community members to resolve doubts and faciliate group participation in the mural project. This is the testimony of Linda.

Linda share that: “I knew it was a risky and contragious disease,” during the mural process her feeling was that: “through the co-work I learned more on the subjects, I was interestred and learned to use spraypaints – the activity was really fun.”

For her the most important part of the initiative was: “working together as a team and making new friends.”

The information that Caminos shared fundamentally helped in that: “the community learns to take better care and protect themselves from the virus, which is still not over. It [the mural] was good information for all.”

It’s the first time that Linda has participated in a community experience. She believes tht it’s important to keep having these community efforts: “It would be good to share information on other subjects that could be advantageous for the community, for example breast cancer, sexually transmitted diseases, and disabilities.”
