Ismael considers that the information shared in the assembly is useful: “It was time [to talk about this,] because the contractors come here saying they are going to pay well and it’s not true. They say they will feed us well and they don’t give us what they say. Arriving there they might give you good food for a month, but later you won’t even see the contractor or the boss.”

In addition, he feels stronger after being more informed, he mentioned that: “The most important thing is that when the contractor arrives, they present themselves to the municipal agent, that they talk and make an agreement so that they don’t cheat people in the community. There are some who take youths, and when they come back drug addicts the contractors don’t care.”

For Ismael this information can help so that: “When they [migrants] leave, they talk with the municipal agent to tell them what contractor they are going with, they share that person’s number and share how long they will be away for. There should be a register for this information.” For this he considers it important that the community has access to this information and can participate in this conversation, because “nobody has come to discuss this, I hope that you [Fomento] continue to come here because this information helps, and maybe they won’t smoke, or take crystal because a lot of the kids go there and don’t come back to their families in a good state.”
