Cuacalco, Benito Ju\u00e1rez, Veracruz (N\u00e1huatl)<\/strong><\/p>\n

[\/vc_column_text][vc_separator color=”custom” border_width=”2″ el_width=”10″ accent_color=”#9aba4a”][\/vc_column_inner][\/vc_row_inner][vc_empty_space height=”22px”][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1\/2″][vc_column_text]Juan Jos\u00e9 Lavaniegos, director of Fomento was present in the assembly on the 14th<\/sup> of September 2022. Sixty-five people participated, all of whom were men. The Ambulantes program information which Fomento shared generated some reactions, reflected in the following testimonies:<\/p>\n

For Carlos it was important to transmit information about what people should do when they travel to the harvests in other states: \u201cThis is very important information for the young people, mainly to share with our children and nephews so that they don\u2019t run unnecessary risks.\u201d<\/em>\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

The same sentiment was also shared by Javier, who commented: \u2018It\u2019s important because my son wants to travel to work but I don\u2019t allow him. Now I have information to explain why he should not go to the contracts. Many of the youth in the community have gone and it has not gone well for them.\u201d<\/em>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1\/2″][vc_column_text]He continued: \u201cMany of those here in the assembly have gone to the contracts and have had bad experiences, going without food and without pay. However, it\u2019s embarrassing for them to share in public what they experienced. That\u2019s why it\u2019s important to hear this information.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

What we consider important to highlight is that all of the assembly participants commented that the information shared should be more widely known. Efra\u00edn commented: \u201cThere was already one kid from the community who left without letting anyone know where he was going. We don\u2019t know what had happened to him, he had disappeared. When they didn\u2019t find him, they went to the municipal president to find a solution, but nobody knew where he had gone.
