Los \u00c1lamos, Valles Centrales, Oaxaca<\/strong><\/p>\n

[\/vc_column_text][vc_separator color=”custom” border_width=”2″ el_width=”10″ accent_color=”#9aba4a”][\/vc_column_inner][\/vc_row_inner][vc_empty_space height=”22px”][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1\/2″][vc_column_text]Edith shared with us that before Caminos came with the information and the proposal to make the mural, she: \u201cknew what the disease was and that it originated in China, that it is like a cold but more serious and more contagious, that in a few days many people could catch it and some could even die.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

Edith spoke to us about the process of creating the mural and what she learned: \u201cIt was good to share my time with others in the community, especially since the mural helps others to use masks and take the necessary sanitary measures.\u201d\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

For her the most important part of the process was:[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1\/2″][vc_column_text]\u201cThat the mural was in a place where it would be seen, and was in Zapoteco, that the mural had characteristics of the community and its inhabitants, and that the message was very clear.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

From the perspective of Edith, the process and the information helped people in the community to become more aware of COVID prevention methods.
