Los \u00c1lamos, Valles Centrales, Oaxaca<\/strong><\/p>\n

[\/vc_column_text][vc_separator color=”custom” border_width=”2″ el_width=”10″ accent_color=”#9aba4a”][\/vc_column_inner][\/vc_row_inner][vc_empty_space height=”22px”][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1\/2″][vc_column_text]As part of the Ambulantes project Caminos Centro de Acompa\u00f1amiento a Migrantes, in collaboration with the community, put up a mural messaging around COVID-19 prevention. This is the testimony of Lupita.<\/p>\n

Lupita shared with us that she knew about COVID-19 before Caminos arrived in the community: \u201cI knew that is was a contagious disease which could lead to death, we had to take care of ourselves, use antibacterial gel, facemask, and gloves.\u201d <\/em>However, with the information that Caminos shared as part of the mural, and throughout the process of putting it up, Lupita said that she began to change her perception and told us: \u201cIt seems faster when everyone collaborates and shares the work, shows that we have to help each other in order to get ahead.\u201d<\/em>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1\/2″][vc_column_text]She considers that the importance of the mural is fundamentally based on: \u201cThe message that the mural gives about taking care of oneself and being united.\u201d <\/em>She also told us she was content because after participating in the design of the mural her perception changed: \u201cKnowing how to better approach the subject allows us to prevent the spread of the virus and avoid spreading it with our families and friends.\u201d<\/em>\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n
